Handmade in the United States from North American cherry, this pet urn is hand sanded and finished with clear-coat lacquer for a smooth display surface. Cherry begins as a lighter red and becomes darker red over time, especially with sunlight exposure, and engraved details are easy to see on the warm wood tone.
- The side oval frame creates a softer photo shape than a rectangle opening.
- The ash compartment is hidden behind the frame under a wooden screw-secured panel.
- Optional lid engraving gives you another area for a name, message, or clip art.

How is the Side Oval frame personalized?
- Below the photo: Add the lifespan under the oval photo opening.
- Right side: Add your pet's name and a personal message.
- Lid option: Add a pet name, name with message, clip art, or a message up to 4 lines and 150 total characters.
What size range should I select?
Choose by your pet's healthy weight. Small is for 1-30 lb pets, Medium is for 31-70 lb pets, and Large is for 71-120 lb pets. If your pet is within 5 lb of the next size range, choose the next size up.
What are the dimensions?
- Small: 6.5" L x 4.3" H x 4.6" W with 30 cubic inches of capacity.
- Medium: 7.7" L x 5.2" H x 5.3" W with 70 cubic inches of capacity.
- Large: 8.8" L x 6" H x 5.75" W with 120 cubic inches of capacity.
How are ashes and the photo secured?
Press on one side of the frame opening and slide the frame until the opposite side releases. Remove the plexiglass, unscrew the wooden panel with a Phillips screwdriver, place the ashes inside, secure the panel, place the photo, replace the plexiglass, and reinstall the frame. A Phillips screwdriver is required and is not included.
What happens after I upload a photo?
The uploaded photo is prepared as a print-ready 6 x 4 inch image. After printing, trim away the marked red area so the remaining image fits the urn.
Does cherry wood change color?
Yes. Cherry naturally deepens from lighter red to darker red over time. Sunlight can speed up the color change, so display the urn away from direct sunlight if you want the tone to age more slowly.

How does the customization process work?

Will my engraving look exactly like the preview?
The preview is designed to be as accurate as possible. Minor differences can occur due to engraving methods and material grain, but spacing and text layout are closely matched.
How long does it take to make and ship a custom urn?
Production times vary by item. Most custom orders are made within a few business days and then ship according to the selected method at checkout.
Can custom items be returned?
Custom products are typically not eligible for return unless there is a defect or an error on our end. If something isn’t right, contact us and we’ll make it right.
