The Walnut Rectangle Base Pet Urn combines a rectangular photo display with a front engraving layout made for your pet's name and lifespan. It keeps the photo central while giving the personalized text a clean, balanced place within the frame.
Handcrafted in the United States from authentic North American black walnut, this pet memorial urn is hand sanded and finished with clear-coat lacquer. Standard plexiglass protects the photo, felt feet help protect the display surface, and the ashes are secured behind the frame with a wooden panel and four hidden Phillips screws.

What can be engraved on the Rectangle Base frame?
The Rectangle Base frame is designed for name and lifespan engraving on the front.
- Center: Your pet's name.
- Left and right areas: Lifespan engraving space.
- Lid: Optional pet name, name and message, clip art, or a message up to 4 lines and 150 total characters.
What size options are available?
Each size matches a healthy pet weight range and a cremation capacity.
- Small: 30 cubic inches, 6.5 in L x 4.3 in H x 4.6 in W, for pets 1-30 lb.
- Medium: 70 cubic inches, 7.7 in L x 5.2 in H x 5.3 in W, for pets 31-70 lb.
- Large: 120 cubic inches, 8.8 in L x 6 in H x 5.75 in W, for pets 71-120 lb.
If your pet is within 5 lb of the next size range, moving up to the next size is recommended.
How do I place the ashes and photo inside?
Open the frame area first, then remove the wooden panel that covers the ash compartment.
- Press the side of the frame opening and slide the frame until the opposite side releases.
- Remove the plexiglass and use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the wooden panel.
- Place the ashes inside and re-secure the panel.
- Position the photo against the panel, replace the plexiglass, and reinstall the frame.
A Phillips screwdriver is required and is not included.
How do I get the right photo size?
During customization, your uploaded photo is edited and returned as a print-ready 6 x 4 inch file.
- Printing: Print the returned file at a major retailer.
- Trimming: Cut off the marked red area after printing.
- Fit note: Exact photo dimensions depend on frame style and urn size.
Is the walnut genuine?
Yes. This urn is made with authentic black walnut rather than wood stained to look like walnut.

How does the customization process work?
Personalize your memorial directly on the product page. Choose your options, enter your text, and preview the layout before adding to cart.
Will my engraving look exactly like the preview?
The preview is designed to be as accurate as possible. Minor differences can occur due to engraving methods and material grain, but spacing and text layout are closely matched.
How long does it take to make and ship a custom urn?
Production times vary by item. Most custom orders are made within a few business days and then ship according to the selected method at checkout.
Can custom items be returned?
Custom products are typically not eligible for return unless there is a defect or an error on our end. If something isn’t right, contact us and we’ll make it right.
