The Oak Pet Urn | Side Heart places your pet's photo and personalized wording in a side-by-side memorial layout. The photo sits on the left, while the right side can be engraved with your pet's name, message, and lifespan for a heartfelt oak pet urn that holds both ashes and a cherished image.
Handmade in the United States from North American oak, this urn is hand sanded and finished with clear-coat lacquer to bring out the natural grain. Standard plexiglass protects the photo, the ash panel is held by hidden Phillips screws behind the frame, and felt feet help prevent scratching and slipping.

What can I engrave on the Side Heart frame?
- Frame engraving: The Side Heart frame can include your pet's name, message, and lifespan on the right side of the photo.
- Lid engraving: Optional lid engraving can include a pet name, a name with a message, clip art, or a message up to 4 lines and 150 total characters.
- Oak appearance: Engraving looks good on oak, but the contrast is naturally more subtle because of the frame background and grain.
What size options does this urn come in?
- Small: Small holds 30 cubic inches and is made for pets with a healthy weight of 1-30 lb.
- Medium: Medium holds 70 cubic inches and is made for pets with a healthy weight of 31-70 lb.
- Large: Large holds 120 cubic inches and is made for pets with a healthy weight of 71-120 lb.
- Size tip: Choose the next size up when your pet is within 5 lb of the next range.
How do I place the ashes and photo?
- Ashes: Press the frame at the opening, slide it so the opposite side releases, remove the plexiglass, unscrew the wooden panel with a Phillips screwdriver, place the ashes inside, and secure the panel again.
- Photo: Set the printed image against the panel, replace the plexiglass, and reinstall the frame.
- Photo file: The uploaded photo is edited into a print-ready 6 x 4 in file, and the marked red area is trimmed away after printing so the image fits.
- Tool note: The Phillips screwdriver needed for setup is not included.

Will my engraving look exactly like the preview?
The preview is designed to be as accurate as possible. Minor differences can occur due to engraving methods and material grain, but spacing and text layout are closely matched.
How long does it take to make and ship a custom urn?
Production times vary by item. Most custom orders are made within a few business days and then ship according to the selected method at checkout.
Can custom items be returned?
Custom products are typically not eligible for return unless there is a defect or an error on our end. If something isn’t right, contact us and we’ll make it right.
